What would you want to see from an end to end software?

There is always going to be a part of your internal processes that don't quite sit how you would like or isn't quite how you thought it would be and that a side just because you are quick at something it does not mean it is efficient! My question is what changes would you see made to your current software that would be the difference between sticking with what you have or moving over to something new?

Angilina, across the various companies I have worked for and with over the years, one of the key issues that becomes a problem is the transferability of the data between platforms of differing business software especially when a new better platform is available from a different company and effectively an archive of old data needs retaining. An open source approach maybe the answer.
Often determining what software is best is a very difficult choice as so many competing platforms are available and choices can be made purely for the perceived market leader rather than what is the best choice. Overall flexibility and transferability are the big issues for me. What are your views @Steve Hardy @Doug Munro @Nick Cheetham
