Do you attend CPD events outside your own profession?

Question

I regularly attend the Society for Construction Law annual spring conference. Even though it is an event you have to pay for the quality of content and speakers is very good. It also provides an opportunity to catch up with contacts you haven't seen for a while. I have attached this years programme.

I definitely do and would encourage everyone else. I have regularly attend Society of Construction Law evening seminars in London [free], the Adjudication Society and the South East Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. I also attend events on development appraisals and project management.

This industry is principally based upon team work and therefore requires us to be aware of, and have an understanding of the different skills required and that available. Not only to deliver construction contracts but also the upfront work prior to, asset acquisition right through to operations and facilities management including any legal issues along the entire road map.
