Yes, there are definitely benefits of outsourcing modelling work but I would like to point out some of the concerns related to the topic. First of all outsourcing, mainly to India, is much cheaper than having a highly skilled modelling team in-house. Just feel really sorry for all the students graduating now without realizing - they are already too expensive for the industry. My personal experience - I love my job, I can call myself Revit/Dynamo expert. When I applied for a job , I wanted to work on complicated projects, to grow, to learn more. Instead I was asked to do QA for outsourced projects. Are you in-control when largest part is being outsourced? Who will correct the mistakes. If the modelling work is done by 15 people team abroad you can not expect 2 QA guys to sort out all the mess that has been done. And after all - Does Cheaper mean Better?
