The JCT DAB contains a set of rules and enabling provisions for the establishment and running of a Dispute Adjudication Board (a “DAB”) Dispute boards were originally born in the USA in the 1960s. They were typically composed of experienced, independent, construction industry professionals, who make swift recommendations for the resolution of any disputes which might arise, and to assist the parties to settle them quickly.
