How can we optimize HVAC duct routing to minimize clashes with structural and electrical systems?

Good duct routing really starts with early coordination. If everyone’s fighting for ceiling space later, you’re already behind. I usually recommend setting a priority matrix, structure and big #HVAC trunks first, then plumbing, then electrical. Ducts should be right-sized before routing (oversizing is a clash magnet). Stick to elevation bands so trades don’t cross paths, and reserve “no-go” zones around access panels and equipment. Don’t underestimate constructability either, standard fittings and fewer offsets go a long way. Combine that with regular #clash-detection and early sleeve coordination, and you’ll save tons of rework on-site.
