I think that due to the Covid 19 pandemic all businesses, regardless of whether you have been fortunate enough to take advantage of this terrible situation [online business for example] or not able to, are going through many changes.

It appears to me that key decisions have and are still being made about overheads, in particular reducing external consultants, reduction in staff numbers and office space and what is the forward look on income/revenue over the next one to three years. These decisions seem to be taken by the leaders of the firm due to the speed in which the pandemic has affected everyone.

Adapting to the new way of working for some of home/office working is an area of huge growth due to the pandemic, but I am not convinced that it is in reality, more efficient if the whole working week is based in your own home.

Efficient working strategies and implementation is needed throughout the life cycle of any business, it does though, bring it into more focus when businesses are not doing as well as they could or such as the times we face now of an event that forces leaders to take drastic action.
