Has anyone experienced applying for an application for an interim extension of time award under a JCT D & B contract?

I am thinking particularly where the full extent of the delay has not yet become apparent yet a contract deadline such as sectional completion or practical completion is approaching or passed?

In any delay notice under clause 2.24 [JCT D&B 2016 or JCT D&B 2011], it is incumbent upon the Contractor to notify of a delay when it is reasonably apparent. The notice should include the cause of the delay, material circumstances of the delay and whether the delay is a Relevant Event or not.

It is not a requirement that the delay period is included in the initial notice at that time, but once the delay period is known then the Contractor should notify immediately thereafter.
