How do you ensure accuracy between MEP as-built drawings and original MEP layout plans during post-construction documentation?

Great question accuracy during as-builts is always a hot topic. We typically do a site verification using 3D laser scanning before drafting the final MEP as-built drawings. That helps us catch any last-minute changes or deviations from the MEP layout plans.

Another thing we do is maintain a redline set throughout construction marking every change or field adjustment directly on the working set. Then our BIM team uses that as a reference to update the models. Also, if you're using Revit, the Revit Compare tool can help identify changes between the original and the updated versions. Super helpful in minimizing errors.
