There may be some construction sites open during the christmas break, but is there any real meaningful benefit and productivity?

It’s a question that’s often been considered over the years Hardip. Typically, productivity is likely to be unacceptably low, however there could be several other things to consider.
My experience is that you have to treat each case on it’s individual merits and ask yourself honestly why are you considering opening the site?
Make a list of the main reasons for opening and do a quick and dirty cost benefit appraisal.
Also consider other reasons for and against which may be difficult to commercially appraise but may have over riding positive or negative consequences.
