A very interesting question and 1 that very much depends (i believe) on the occupier. For some this will be a sensitive issue and one they cannot look past while others will accept some creaking as part of the ambient background noise of the property. This question will very much end up linked to the points Steve Hardy made on the question about RICS regulation and the Employer desire to "dump all risk" on the Contractor. For Employers this will be a significant issue. Contractors will be pointing to compliance to the requirements having met all necessary regulations while Employers will be looking to protect development margins by passing on an remedial works required to the Contractor.

A debate that will continue to plague tall tower construction for a while!
