Would you live in a converted office building in NYC?

I recently came across this LinkedIn article — “Will Your Next NYC Apartment Be a Former Office?” — that dives into how this shift is already happening:

With remote work becoming more common after the pandemic, a lot of office buildings are sitting partially empty, while at the same time the city is dealing with a serious housing shortage. From what I understand, these conversions are being seen as a faster and more cost-effective alternative to building new apartments—and a way to better align real estate with how people actually live and work now.

That said, I’m curious how this feels in reality, not just on paper.
